Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Hotfix Addresses Crashes, Optimizes High-End CPU Behavior on PC

Fresh off the news that Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has sold over two million copies, Saber Interactive has released its first hotfix for consoles and PC. It’s light but addresses potential crashes that could occur.

These include rare crashes when starting the game, at the first cutscene, and more. It also addresses bugs causing soft locks in the campaign. PC players should also note that the hotfix optimized CPU behavior on high-end CPUs, so it should result in improved performance.

As for the future, the development team will deploy a heftier patch later this month, adding support for Ultrawide displays, a Sparring Arena in the Battle Barge for PvP, and lobbies for private PvE. Stay tuned for more details when it goes live. Saber Interactive …

Towers of Aghasba Early Access Review – Towerfall

There was a point in Towers of Aghasba, the new open-world survival crafting title from Moonlit Games, where I couldn’t access my stash and thus couldn’t make the required tools for continuing my tortured exploration. Exasperated at trying to scrounge around Midhaven to find things like fibre and wood, I got on my mount and returned to the bridge to my initial farming village, Laila. The portals weren’t set up, so returning to do so and bridging the two locations would be beneficial.

And off we went, sprinting continuously, through darkness and eventually early morning, crossing the genuinely impressive bridge that I crafted earlier with wood, rope, thatch and, for some reason, a single meat skewer. I saw a villager with an…

Manchester City loanee hints at La Liga stay

Manchester City midfielder Vladimir Weiss says he is open to a possibility of continuing his career in La Liga.

The Slovakian winger is currently on loan at Espanyol and has had a mixed start to his career at Montjuic.

The 22-year-old has 10 La Liga appearances to his name, although he only started 6 of those.

With his contract at Manchester City set to expire in June 2013, the player admits he is pondering his options.

My City contract expires in summer 2013. I will soon have to ponder the question whether to extend a new contract there or move on, Weiss told Pravda.

For the moment I m focused on doing my duties at Espanyol in order to have offers I could choose from in the upcoming summer.

The player says that he is slowly growing a …

Lehmann tips Podolski to thrive

Former Germany goalkeeper Jens Lehmann says Cologne striker Lukas Podolski has what it takes to succeed at Arsenal.

Germany international Podolski is widely expected to join English Premier League club Arsenal at the end of the season.

Lehmann played for the north London club from 2003 until 2008, and made a brief return in 2011.

He has every confidence in Podolski s considerable talents, but did warn the forward he will have to get used to the pace of the game in England.

He is quick, dangerous in front of the goal, and has a good pass. I m happy for him if he soon joins Arsenal, Lehmann told Bild.

It won t be easy though. He will have to get used to the pace (in the Premier League). And he will have to realise that participating is not enough…

France v Iceland: Bodvarsson sees Les Bleus as step up from England

Iceland forward Jon Dadi Bodvarsson expects hosts France to be the toughest test yet for his team-mates on their incredible Euro 2016 adventure.

Heimir Hallgrimsson and Lars Lagerback s side return for Sunday s quarter-final to Stade de France the venue where Bodvarsson opened the scoring in the dramatic 2-1 Group F win over Austria.

A stunning last-16 win over England by the same scoreline followed for the tournament minnows but, after watching Roy Hodgson s side descend into disarray during the second half of that match in Nice, Kaiserslautern player Bodvarsson expects a far tougher test against Les Bleus.

I think this will be a more difficult game, he told a pre-match news conference.

Paris Saint-Germain 3 Nantes 0: Mbappe scores penalty after earlier spot-kick saved

Paris Saint-Germain booked a Coupe de France final clash against Rennes as Kylian Mbappe made up for having a penalty saved by converting another spot-kick in a 3-0 win over Nantes.

Marco Verratti scored his first Paris Saint-Germain goal in 17 months with a strike from the edge of the box in the 29th minute to set Thomas Tuchel s side on their way.

Mbappe, who had scored in his previous five games for club and country, initially squandered the chance to double the lead as Ciprian Tatarusanu saved his retaken effort midway through the second half.

Nantes had Kalifa Coulibaly sent off for two yellow cards and Mbappe atoned for his earlier penalty miss when presented with another opportunity from 12 yards five minutes from the end before substitute Dani Alves …

Barcelona fail in Ferran Torres negotiations for January

Recent reports claimed Barcelona were interested in signing Ferran Torres from Manchester City this winter. According to a latest one coming from , Barca CEO Ferran Reverter and director of football Mateu Alemany traveled to the North-West of England to try and work out a deal with the Premier League champions, but their efforts were unsuccessful. With former City hitman Sergio Aguero almost certain to retire from playing and Luuk de Jong looking likely to leave, the Catalans will be left short upfront.

Torres arrived to the Etihad last summer from Valencia, and it seemed manager Pep Guardiola had got another player precisely to his liking in the young, versatile Spanish forward. However, over a year later, the 21-year-old s contribution doesn t seem to be getting as big as it …
